A data processing agreement (Auftragsverarbeitungsvertrag) is in place with the host, as required by the GDPR. Hosting is carried out on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Data we process
- Server log files — browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, hostname, time of request and IP address. Recorded by the host on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for technically correct delivery of the site. This data is not merged with other sources.
- Contact enquiries — anything you send us via the contact form, email, telephone or fax, processed under Art. 6(1)(b) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR to handle your enquiry, and kept until the purpose lapses or you ask for deletion.
- Forwarding within the network — cocoon-it is a network of independent computer scientists. If your enquiry concerns a specialism covered by another person in the network, we forward it, including the personal data it contains, to that person for the sole purpose of handling your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You may object at any time; we will then handle it ourselves or name the right contact so you can approach them directly.
Beyond that, this website sets no cookies, runs no analytics or tracking, and loads no resources from third-party servers — no external fonts, no embedded videos, no social media widgets. It ships no JavaScript at all. Consequently there is no consent banner, because there is nothing to consent to.
All transmission is TLS-encrypted. We object to the use of contact details published in the imprint for unsolicited advertising.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the data we hold about you, its origin, recipients and purpose (Art. 15)
- have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16)
- have data erased (Art. 17)
- restrict processing (Art. 18)
- data portability (Art. 20)
- object to processing, including for direct marketing (Art. 21)
- withdraw consent at any time, with future effect (Art. 7(3))
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77)
To exercise any of these, or for any other privacy question, contact us at the address above.
